Isomalt from Simply Sugar
Isomalt is a sugar substitute that is ideal for Sugar Art.
In granulate form it is simple to use.
Whereas
sugar needs additives in order for it to be used for sculptures, Isomalt just
needs to be dissolved. Compared to using normal sugar the Isomalt may lose
its sheen but never
its shape if kept in the correct conditions i.e. away from heat and humidity.
Completely dissolved Isomalt granules never recrystallise, so they can be
reheated several times which is of course a bonus when working with sugar.
